Hi there!

It's Yasha. For the past 4 years, I'm working on Intch, which helps professionals find remote / part-time projects. Over this period, I've gained a deep understanding of the evolving Future of Work market.

But let's take it step by step.

When the pandemic began, I was the CTO at the Venture Capital firm altair.vc.

In the first few months, we realized and witnessed through our portfolio projects that the pandemic would dramatically change how people work:

  1. 🛰️ Remote work has become the new norm.
  2. 🧨 Companies are starting to hire employees for part-time positions.

Seeing these opportunities, many professionals have shifted their approach:

Instead of 1 full-time job, they prefer having 3-5 concurrent part-time projects, each requiring ~3-6 hours/week. Essentially, this adds up to almost the same as a full-time job but with several key differences:

  1. Each project pays 30-50% of a typical full-time salary, which means part-timers can earn 1.5x-2.5x more.
  2. Remote work means you can apply for jobs in countries that offer significantly higher salaries.
  3. In part-time work, results matter more than the time you work, allowing you to travel and live in different places.
  4. Having 3-5 concurrent projects makes you independent of any single one. Got a difficult boss? You can simply leave.

The Future of Work market quickly took shape and grew large. With each passing month, it increasingly differs from the traditional full-time office job:

  • Hiring process is different
  • Interviews are different
  • Even CV have a different format

I've compiled all my knowledge and experience and organized it on a Miro Board:
